WMNI SATERN holds weekly 2m nets.  The purpose of the net is to provide a training and communication venue for WMNI SATERN members and all interested radio amateurs, across the WMNI Division.

Our net is hosted by the Independent Repeater Association, which maintains a linked system of local repeaters reaching from the eastern portion of Michigan’s upper peninsula to the northwestern counties of Indiana.

We also facilitate participation in the net, via echolink.  Those familiar with this technology may join through node: WX8BOB-L.

We pass informal traffic, discuss issues related to radio communication and The Salvation Army’s Emergency Disaster Services, and pass on related articles.  We also ask trivia questions to keep our minds sharp!

If you are interested in The Salvation Army’s Emergency Disaster Services, our SATERN (Salvation Army Team Emergency Radio Network) unit activities within the WMNI division, or in socializing with hams interested in public service, please consider joining us on our weekly nets.

We hold the net Wednesday evenings, at 7:00pm eastern time on the IRA link system.  To find a list of linked repeaters, the repeater closest to you, and more information regarding the Independent Repeater Association, please visit: http://w8ira.org.

Hope to hear you on the net!!
